• Introduction to Indonesian Languages (Bahasa Indonesia, Balinese, and Javanese)
• English as a Second Language

2. Indonesian Culture

• Introduction to Balinese Culture (religion and ceremonies, social psychology and interpersonal relationships, food, performing arts, visual arts, textiles and clothing, architecture, geography, ecology)
• Introduction to Javanese Culture
• Mecaru and Mlaspas (preparation for, and participation in, a major Balinese Hindu ceremony)

3. Indonesian Performing Arts

• Balinese gamelan gong (large bronze ensemble)
• Balinese gamelan angklung (smaller bronze ensemble)
• Balinese gamelan selundeng (small iron ensemble)
• Balinese gamelan gambang (small xylophone ensemble)
• Balinese gender wayang (small metallophone ensemble)
• Balinese rindik (bamboo xylophone)
• Balinese kidung and kekawin singing
• Javanese gamelan (large bronze ensemble)
• Javanese mocopat singing
