The Museum School and Center for World Music

In January of 2000 the Center for World Music began an intensive program of Balinese music at the Museum School, a San Diego City Schools charter school, as part of the Center for World Music’s ongoing "World Music in the Schools" program. Due to the importance the arts take in the curriculum of the Museum School and its intense commitment to the arts, it soon became apparent that this partnership would grow into a very rich program offering the Museum School students a depth of study hitherto only available to children in Bali.
