Odissi: Classical Dance of India
The Patnaik Sisters

The Patnaik sisters--Laboni, Shibani, and Shalini--will perform
Odissi, the classical, lyrical, and beautifully costumed temple
dance form of northeast India, accompanied by a live orchestra
of Indian musicians. The Patnaiks have performed nationally and
internationally with such artists as Ravi Shankar and George Harrison.
Recently, they performed with Madonna for the 1998 MTV Music Video
Award ceremony.
